PS- Simon doesn’t know what to do with himself. Every day this week has been him running laps around the house.
I just read this book.
And it was good. really good. Not in an “annoying I feel guilty because I feel like such a terrible person” way, but in a “challenging breathe of fresh air I wonder if there is more” kind of way. It was exactly what I needed in the middle of this grad school and home ownership swirl I am in that has me wanting more, more, more and better, better, better.
Strawberry picking started with a serious toddler sucking his thumb in a red wagon and ended with a still very serious toddler sucking his thumb in a red wagon with 5 pounds of strawberries. In between, he did not flinch. Picked strawberries, put them in the bucket, ate strawberries, moved on, not even a tiny smile or smallest giggle from him.
I think he is contemplating the cycle of Charlottesville’s agricultural seasons and planning his future as a farmer. While stuffing his face with strawberries.
Oh yea, we are so into matching our tribe pride…even when it means a size 2t shirt for 15.99 (OH W AND M, undergrad just wasn’t enough- you are still taking my money!)
